Target chief calls it quits September 19, 2011

Target managing director Launa Inman will step down from the position early next year.

Perth-based conglomerate Wesfarmers, the owner of Target, Coles supermarkets, Kmart and Bunnings, said in a statement to the ASX this afternoon that Mrs Inman would remain in her current role until a replacement is in place, expected to be early 2012.

Mrs Inman said that after almost seven years in the position, and a transformation program to position Target for long-term success in place, she felt the time was right time to move on.
