WOOLWORTHS has scored a major coup in re-hiring Penny Winn, who has resigned from Myer Holdings.
Ms Winn, a highly regraded Woolworths executive, had been earmarked by offshore partner Wal-Mart for key executive roles in the company.
In a recent note, former Woolies finance chief Bill Wavish lauded Ms Winn "as one of the most accomplished senior executives" in the retailer.
She is re-joining Woolies just as Michael Luscombe is leaving, and new boss Grant O'Brien takes over.
Myer will replace Ms Winn with existing executives Judy Coomber and Adam Stapleton.
